ITAN (The Story)
Itan is a stage play inspired by the need to resolve the multi-generational tensions arising from diversity issues in our modern day society.
An 'old-school die-hard’ village elder, Pa Latinwo, who is shocked to realise that his lost and found ‘city roller-coaster’ grandson Diekola, who happens to be his sole living relative, wants no part in his world. Both deeply rooted in their beliefs, and worlds apart in their values, they battle against each other for supremacy for themselves and their generations. As the contest heats up, TIME (personified as Àsìkò) catches up with them and takes them both on a journey - first into the past, and then into the future. They discover dark shocking secrets that have been shrouded by the veil of time.
